Who we are

This website represents Classic & Smart Contractors Limited, trading as C&S Contractors. Contact info@classic-smart-contractors.co.uk with questions about your information.

Project enquiries

When you submit an enquiry, your name, email address, project postcode, selected service, message and any files you choose to attach are sent through FormSubmit to our company email inbox, hosted by Hostinger. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, discuss your project and prepare a quotation where appropriate. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information through this form.

Form delivery

FormSubmit processes enquiry submissions and retains a submissions archive for 30 days. Uploaded files are delivered with the enquiry email and are not available in FormSubmit’s submissions archive. Company email correspondence is held in our Hostinger mailbox. You can contact us at the email address above to ask about your information or request its correction or deletion. External services

The review sections load Google Maps services when they approach your screen. Google receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details when these services load. Review text, reviewer names, profile photographs and ratings are supplied by Google. We do not store a copy of this review content on our website. Review and profile links open Google’s website. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Facebook and Instagram links open those services only when selected; this website does not embed their feeds or tracking widgets. Cookies and measurement

This implementation adds no analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels. The hosting provider and any external services you visit may process technical information such as IP addresses and access logs.

Website terms and Google Maps

This website provides information about C&S Contractors and examples of our work. Project scope, prices and timing are confirmed separately in writing for each enquiry. Google Maps features on this website are subject to the Google Maps Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Our lawful basis

We use the information you provide to take steps at your request before entering a contract, such as discussing your requirements and preparing a quotation, and to perform a contract if you appoint us. We rely on our legitimate interests to manage business correspondence, keep appropriate project records, protect our systems and deal with queries or disputes. Where we must keep information to meet tax, accounting or other legal requirements, we rely on legal obligation. We do not use enquiry details for unrelated marketing without an appropriate lawful basis.

Our retention policy

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected. For enquiries that do not become a project, we consider whether discussions remain active and whether a reasonable follow-up is still needed. For projects that proceed, we consider the contract, handover, warranties, accounting requirements and the time needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We review the information we hold and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed, unless a legal requirement or an unresolved matter requires retention. Files and emails in our company mailbox are subject to these criteria; FormSubmit’s separate 30-day submissions archive is described above.

Your information rights

Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis, you can ask to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, erase information, restrict its use or receive a portable copy of information you have provided. These rights have legal conditions and exceptions, so we may need to retain some records where a legal obligation or legitimate claim requires it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Your right to object

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation. We will consider your request and stop that processing unless we have a compelling lawful reason to continue. You can object to direct marketing at any time.

Requests and complaints

Email info@classic-smart-contractors.co.uk to exercise your rights or raise a concern. We may ask for information to confirm your identity and understand your request. We normally respond within one month; if the law allows extra time for a complex request, we will explain the extension. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, through the ICO complaints page. You do not have to contact us before approaching the ICO.
