LONDON / CARPENTRY & FLOORING

A better finish. From the ground up.

Carpentry, skirting, doors and flooring for London homes, with careful attention to preparation, transitions and the finishing details.

A CLEAR SCOPE, FROM THE START

Thought through.
Properly coordinated.

Straight lines and neat junctions start with preparation. We assess the existing surfaces, levels and adjoining finishes before agreeing the work, so the finished details work together.

Flooring needs to suit its location and substrate. Moisture, uneven floors and existing damage can affect the installation; any additional preparation is identified and discussed as part of the scope.

PLANNING YOUR PROJECT

Questions you may be asking.

Practical answers to help you plan the work and decide what to do next.

Can you replace my flooring without renovating the whole room?

Yes, we can look at flooring as a standalone project. We’ll check the existing floor, door clearances, skirting and transitions to adjoining rooms, then explain the preparation needed for a neat finish.

I’ve already bought flooring. Can you install it?

Send us the product details, the room sizes and a few photos. We’ll check whether the flooring is suitable for the room and the base underneath it, and discuss the fitting instructions before agreeing the installation.

Will I need to move all the furniture out?

We’ll discuss access and which rooms need to be clear before work starts. Let us know about large or heavy items early so you can plan how they will be moved and where they can be stored.

Can you match my existing doors or skirting?

We’ll compare the style, dimensions and finish and explain the closest practical match. An exact match is not always available, particularly with older joinery, so we’ll discuss the options before you order or agree to replacement.

The floor is uneven or damaged. Does that need fixing first?

Usually the base needs to be sound and suitable before new flooring is laid. We’ll check the affected area and discuss repairs or levelling where needed. If damp or a leak is involved, its cause needs attention before the new finish goes down.
