This project focused on transforming a former industrial building into a contemporary residential home, balancing its original character with modern design and functionality. The aim was to create a space that feels open, refined, and practical for everyday living.
The Approach
The existing structure was retained and enhanced, allowing key industrial features to remain part of the design. The layout was reconfigured to improve flow and maximise natural light, creating a strong connection between spaces.
Design & Materials
The ground floor features polished concrete floors, exposed steelwork, and bespoke joinery, giving the space a clean, industrial aesthetic. Large-format glazing and integrated smart technology support modern living while maintaining a minimal, uncluttered look.
Upstairs, the atmosphere becomes softer and more tactile. Restored timber floors, high ceilings, and textured finishes create calm, well-balanced living spaces, with two bedrooms each benefitting from their own en suite.
External Works
A bold yet understated exterior finish, paired with slim-profile glazing and subtle landscaping, gives the property a strong contemporary presence while maintaining privacy.
